Boat Race Rules

Boats are to be made of cardboard, paper, tape and paint only. No resin, no resin
paints, no fiberglass, no plastic, no laminations of any kind, etc…

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION ARE OPEN TO ALL, BUT ONLY
CHILDREN (12 YEARS OLD AND UNDER) CAN BE CAPTAINS.

All boats will be inspected and put on display from 2:30 to 3:00pm on the grass from C-dock down to the corner. The contest will begin at 3:00pm. No physical contact will be allowed between the boat race contestants before or during the race. The race begins at C02, and the first boat that crosses the finish line at A01 wins.

NOTE: DOUBLE SIDED OARS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED; HOWEVER, WATER CANNONS ARE ALLOWED. Note: New rules for 2010 are that all participants must be inside boat & use paddles only. No swim fins for help will be allowed.
